Adirondack Packaging and Design

Adirondack Outfitters is an outdoors brand, family of base layer products. It included performance base layer, cotton rich waffle thermals and heavy weight fleece product. I design the body styles, logos, icons, packaging and presentation / sales collateral.

Each product had a personality of it’s own and needed to be conveyed in the packaging while still maintaining a cohesive brand message. I created product differentiation by creating a unique color story for each product but kept the layout the same throughout the collection. To further communicate the vintage message on the classic thermal I changed the paper stock to a raw cardboard. The packaging for the Vintage cotton thermal was made in two versions, polybag with insert and my favorite an open style package with a belly band. I developed a rating system for the products which allowed the customer to choose the correct garment for their needs. The icon for the rating system continued the mountain theme of the collection.

Packaging styles included belly bands, clamshells and c-boards with poly propylene zip lock bags.
